FAQs
What topics can I ask about here?
I would really prefer it if questions are relevant to the greater IT workspace in some way. I won't necessarily remove off-topic questions and discussions (unless they are in some way offensive or inappropriate), but I would prefer off-topic and random discussions be had in private messages, groups, or the community Discord.
What types of questions should I avoid asking?
This is quite similar to the first question, but I will also add that you should not ask any questions that relate to something personal or could be used to identify you in ways you may not want. So in general I'd say to keep your questions general, or at the very least do not make it regarding private information.
Can I answer and respond to any Question that is posted?
Unless otherwise stated in the question, feel free to respond and collaborate with any Questions posted. With that in mind, please be aware that any incorrect or false statements can be voted down and can reflect on your overall impression that is left on the site. Trolling, memes, and spam replies will be frowned upon and depending on the severity of it action could be taken against it.
What should I do when someone answers my question?
If their answer proved beneficial to you in any way, up-voting their response is a great way to leave feedback. We closely monitor Question and Answer votes so we can determine and update lists of reputable contributors and keep track of hot topics or repeat Questions.
